SOS Children Village

Atlast uploading a new post after around two months .. This blog thing just doesn’t suit me .. So what this post is about ??

Well its about our visit to a SOS village near Nust in H-12 .. What are SOS Children villages ?? These are social welfare organizations made for children where orphans and abandoned children are provided a home .. These children live in these ‘societies’ until they are able to lead their independent lives ..

We were supposed to gather donations for these helpless children .. And in around two weeks or something , we had collected around more than one lac and that is a lot of money .. Our target was not only cash but people also donated their toys, clothes and all these type of things ..  On March 8th, 2012, we were able to put smiles on hundreds of faces .. 🙂

“Nature: The Art of God” A Village’s Perspective !! Part 3

Hey Guys .. So I am back on this blog and I am uploading this new post after about two months .. I have started working deviantArt (This is my account: http://theworldsnapper.deviantart.com/ ).. Its really a great site and the users have helped me alot with their critiques and comments and everything .. But still I thought about deleting this blog but I thought that would not be fair to the very few people that follow me and love my work .. I truly appreciate your comments and I love when someone criticizes my work because it really helps me, in not making a previous mistake, when  taking a photograph ..

This post is all about landscapes .. These were also taken in my village and I seriously had to walk miles to take a picture .. Because the fields are spread upon miles and to just take a different perspective of a same landscape , you would have to walk around one or two kilometres just to change the angle .. So Enjoy the pictures .. Cheers !! 🙂

“Nature: The Clothing of God” A Village’s Perspective !! (Part 1)

Its been 3 weeks since I am thinking of uploading a new post on my blog but I just got free from my studies as mids just ended in our university .. The below pictures are from a visit to my village on the Eid-ul-Azha holiday .. I was thinking about only uploading some landscapes but thought it was better that I should post some pictures that show a typical Pakistani village in Punjab, which explains our title “A Village’s Perspective” !!

All of these pictures are taken in Shihanwala, Thal Desert near Jhang, Pakistan .. I would be posting different pictures in parts because I don’t want to add all of them in a single post .. In order to get the perfect view, I had to walk miles after miles to catch the perfect beauty of nature in my camera, like the panoramic landscape view .. Enjoy the pictures and I will be looking forward to your critism !! 🙂

“If you carry your childhood with you, you never become older”

Around 3 months back, I went to my village .. Its on outskirts of the second largest desert of Pakistan, Thal and on the bank of River Jhelum .. It takes around an hour from Jhang to reach this place .. So my lil cousins were playing with me, messing up my hair and everything so I thought, why not click these moments (Although I don’t have a pic in which they are messing up my hair) .. So I picked up my camera and started a model shoot for the kids !! They didn’t know much about posing so I  started telling them to make some funny poses !! And trust me, I got some of the best clicks ever from these lil guys !!

The Below pic : So I was taking pictures of them and he wanted to go pee .. But I didn’t let him go .. And trust me , after a while he had to run to the toilet to stop himself from peeing in his pants .. 😛 😛

The below pic : Ali Ahmed was really happy about his new bicycle so the moment I entered his home, he was like I got a new bike .. And this makes me remember my own childhood that whenever my parents bought me something, it was always the best gift ever.. And the urge to show other friends and kids that I have this new toy is always overwhelming..

Heaven on Earth !!

A tourist's Heaven

The town of Nathiagali is one of the most picturesque  hill-station for photography. Famous for its scenic beauty and various different species of birds and animals, it is a 35 km drive from both Abbottabad and Murree.

All these pictures are from last year during a trip to Nathiagali and Abbottabad ..

For the first pic, I had to climb a cliff to reach this beautiful view .. And trust me, it was worth it ..

Most of these picture are taken when the car was moving ..  For the first pic, I had to climb a little cliff to reach this beautiful view .. And trust me, it was worth it ..

The above picture captures a glimpse of the terrain of Murree/Nathiagali area.. Some of these shots were very difficult to capture because the lightning conditions were very low and I didn’t have my proper camera  equipment with me but still the shots came out great .. And I am really happy with the results..

On these roads, land sliding is very common .. And we also became a part of it .. I mean, of course, not literally or I would not have been writing right now .. But still, this happened around half an hour before we reached this place .. Its on the road from Nathiagali to Abbottabad ..

And this picture was taken from a hotel in Kalabagh, Murree .. We were getting late from our schedule but still stopped for some Pakistani food on the way ..
